It all began when David, URocked’s Founder, saw the problem firsthand: “I was out at a restaurant and was unable to leave a tip for our waiter, we did not have any cash on us and the waiter was unable to take tips on the credit card machine – there was no way round it and I felt like I was letting them down, I wanted to say thanks, but we were stuck with no way to do it.”
Tipping practices today are often ambiguous, confusing customers who want to appropriately reward good service. With cash increasingly being replaced by cards, and service charges not always distributed to wait staff, there is uncertainty around how and when to tip.
URocked can be a way around all this, clearing up the grey area for both customers and the workforce!
